INART’s Batman: Arkham Origins 1/12 figure is one of the strongest video-game Batman releases in recent years. It captures the younger, more aggressive, heavily armored look from the 2013 prequel with exceptional sculpt fidelity, a wired fabric cape, and a full gadget loadout. Most reviewers call it a masterpiece or 9–10/10, with the main recurring caveat being that it is not truly 1/12 scale.
There are two versions: the original “clean” suit and a later Battle Damaged edition with extra weathering, shock-glove effects, and additional accessories. Both share the same core body and quality.
Sculpt and likeness
The figure is based directly on the in-game model rather than the CG trailer. Armor panels, chest bat-symbol, utility belt, and textured under-suit all read as accurate. The two included head sculpts (calm/stoic and gritted-teeth angry) have strong skin texture and paint, and reviewers frequently say they look like the character model scaled down. The cowl and ear shape are especially well done.
The cape is real fabric with wiring that extends under the cowl so it can sit over the shoulder pads the way it does in-game. It drapes naturally and holds dynamic shapes.
Paint, materials, and build
Paint applications are tight for the scale—rivets, weathering on the Battle Damaged version, and panel lines all hold up under close inspection. Materials mix PVC, ABS, POK, some die-cast/alloy parts, and fabric. Joints are generally described as smooth and well-hidden given how bulky the suit is. Official product size is listed around 19.5 cm (including base); the figure itself is typically measured at ~18–19 cm / 7.1–7.6 inches to the top of the ears.
Articulation and posing
It is more poseable than the armored look suggests. Reviewers note good shoulder, elbow, wrist, torso, hip, knee, and ankle range, plus a toe joint and wired cape. Some early reviews flagged the knees as a weak point or noted that extreme poses can look a bit stiff because of the armor volume. Overall consensus is that it poses well for photography and display, especially with the included stand.
Accessories (standard version)
Typical loadout:
- 2 head sculpts
- Wired cape
- 10 interchangeable hands (fists, batarang grips, sequencer grips, gun grips, plus dedicated gel-gun and smoke-pellet hands)
- Explosive gel gun
- Batclaw + cables
- Batarang
- Cryptographic sequencer
- Disruptor
- Display base with stand
The Battle Damaged version adds more surface damage, extra batarangs (including remote), grapnel/shock-glove effects, and a different set of gauntlet hands. Many collectors prefer the damaged version for visual interest.
The scale issue
This is the most consistent criticism. Marketed as 1/12, the figure is noticeably taller and bulkier than most 6-inch / true 1/12 lines and even taller than INART’s own The Dark Knight Rises Batman. It sits closer to 1/10 or a large 7-inch figure. If you display it solo or with similarly oversized pieces it looks fantastic; if you want it next to standard 1/12 or McFarlane 7-inch figures it will tower over them. Several reviewers still bought it anyway because the sculpt quality outweighs the mismatch.
Price and availability
Street prices have generally landed in the $110–$165 range depending on retailer, version, and whether you caught the original pre-order window. Official INART pages and many importers listed lower deposit/pre-order prices. The standard version has been reaching collectors through 2026; the Battle Damaged version followed later. Official site rating on the standard figure has been very high (around 4.9/5 from a large sample of buyer reviews).
Verdict
If you want the best-looking Arkham Origins Batman currently available in this size class and you do not need it to scale with a tight 1/12 shelf, this is an easy recommendation. Sculpt, paint, cape, and gadget selection are all above the usual 1/12 standard. The Battle Damaged variant is the one most reviewers pick if they can only have one.
It is not a perfect “true 1/12” figure, and the price plus import/shipping realities will matter depending on where you live. For collectors who already like INART’s TDKR Batman or premium game-accurate pieces, this is one of their stronger releases.
