Terranigma: Gaia Edition

Terranigma: Gaia Edition is the $199.99 collector’s set for the new worldwide rerelease of Quintet’s 1995 SNES action RPG. The game launches January 14, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 (physical card also works on original Switch), Switch, and PC.

North America pre-orders are live at Limited Run Games. EU/UK go through Clear River Games. LRG says pre-orders close November 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.

This is the first official North American release. The original SNES game never launched in the US.

This is an enhanced port, not a full remake. Core gameplay stays the same. Additions include:

• Music player and museum/art gallery
• CRT filter and original aspect-ratio options
• New key art and designs from original character designer Kamui Fujiwara

Terranigma is the third game in Quintet’s unofficial “Gaia” trilogy (Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma). Ark restores a frozen village and then helps revive the planet after a war between God and the Devil. It’s known for ambitious world-building, fast combat, and Miyoko Kobayashi’s soundtrack.
