The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller + Display Stand

Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller + display stand – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition was officially announced today (September 8, 2026) as part of The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct. It releases October 29, 2026.

It features a black/green/gold color scheme with a prominent Hylian Crest (Royal Crest with Triforce) on the faceplate, gold accents on buttons/triggers, and green grips. Leaks and official materials also mention an 8-bit Link graphic on the back. It comes with a matching display stand.

In Japan the bundle is priced at 12,980 yen (including tax). US pricing and preorder details have not been fully published yet in the initial announcement, but the standard Switch 2 Pro Controller typically sits in the $85–90 range; expect this special edition to be similar or slightly higher. Nintendo of America noted availability at the Nintendo Store and Nintendo NY/SF locations (while supplies last).

A matching special-edition Switch 2 console (Triforce motifs on the system back, dock, and Joy-Con 2) and a carrying case + screen protector are also launching the same day. None of these include a game.

This is the first major themed first-party Switch 2 Pro Controller after the Resident Evil Requiem edition. It uses the standard Switch 2 Pro hardware (programmable GL/GR back buttons, C button for GameChat, HD Rumble 2, headphone jack, amiibo, etc.) with the anniversary cosmetics.
