Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake is a faithful remake of the acclaimed 2013 adventure game directed by Josef Fares (of It Takes Two fame). Originally developed by Starbreeze Studios, the remake was handled by Italian studio Avantgarden SRL and published by 505 Games. Players control two brothers—Naiee (the younger) and Naï (the older)—simultaneously in single-player mode or via local co-op (a new addition), as they embark on an emotional fairy-tale journey through forests, caves, and treacherous lands to find the “Water of Life” and save their dying father. The core puzzle-platformer gameplay emphasizes cooperation between the siblings’ unique strengths, with no dialogue—only environmental storytelling, hidden secrets, and a re-recorded live-orchestra soundtrack.
