He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is an upcoming retro-style 2D beat ’em up video game inspired by the classic 1980s He-Man cartoon and toy line.

Developed by Bitmap Bureau (known for games like Final Vendetta) and published by Limited Run Games in partnership with Mattel, it features side-scrolling action where players control heroes like He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and others (including She-Ra in some footage) to battle through 12 epic stages across Eternia. The story revolves around stopping Skeletor, who has uncovered the ancient Dragon Pearl of Destruction—a powerful relic he uses in a ritual with Evil-Lyn to plunge the planet into darkness. Expect hard-hitting combat, special moves, power-ups, co-op multiplayer (local two-player), huge pixel-art sprites, and nostalgic 80s vibes with modern polish.

The game was first announced in August 2025 at gamescom (during Opening Night Live) and has since received gameplay trailers, including one at IGN Fan Fest 2026 showing intense brawling action.

It launches digitally and physically on April 28, 2026 for:
